ADULT CATECHESIS (BIBLE STUDY)

Our aim as Christians is a life of faith and devotion. To this end, the following Bible Classes are offered this year and taught by our Pastor.

Tuesday Evenings 7:00 pm (first Tuesday of the month)

"TABLE TALK" … an informal study, held in Pastor's Study at church, led by Pastor, in which the Lutheran Confessions and other books of confessional Lutheran theology will be studied and discussed.

Thursday Mornings 9:15 am

Ezra and Nehemiah
God raised up Ezra and Nehemiah to rebuild Jerusalem and prepare for the Messiah. Their books show how God works in His people and in Jesus Christ, who accomplished out salvation through His perfect life, atoning death, and glorious resurrection.

Song of Songs
This teaches the Song as a poem about the divine love kindled in the marriage of Solomon and his Shulammite bride, which is the same love that is kindled in the marriages of Christians. It also is the same love that bound Old Testament Israel to her God, and that binds the Christian church to Jesus Christ, her husband and Lord. The study emphasizes the Gospel of the forgiveness of sins and new life through faith in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. God in Christ’s grace creates the church through the Word and Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and prepares the church to wait in joyful expectation for the return of Christ and his eternal nuptial celebration with his bride.
